Around 25,000 new estate agent jobs were created in 3 months to June according to the Office for National Statistics. This is a jump in employment of 10% within their sector.
This is good news for those owning houses. I’m sure its good news for the restaurants and cafes on the high streets. Its certainly good news for people looking for a job.
But its very good news for estate agents!!!!
A growing workforce can, however, have its challenges in managing staff issues and performance correctly. Last year there were over 186,000 claims accepted by the Employment Tribunal, some of which have resulted in expensive settlements.
Its worth considering protecting your business against disgruntled litigious employees. However its usually the past employees that can cause trouble as they have less to lose. If you do buy cover to protect your business you should make sure that past employees are not excluded.
